The game had a very big importance for third-ranked KosovanBashkimi as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bashkimi smashed 4th placed Albanian Tirana in Prizren 75-48 . Bashkimi forced 20 Tirana turnovers and outrebounded them 43-28 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Alexis Mead (163, college: WKU) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Her fellow American import guard Dontavia Waggoner (183-2001, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Waggoner is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Bashkimi's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mexican power forward Myriam Lara (188-1994) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Brielle Baughman (170, college: RMC) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Bashkimi have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Peja 03. Tirana lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with three games lost.
